One of the Bakioğlu Holding companies, Gravure International started its operations under the tradename Wetzel A.Ş. as a partnership of the Bakioğlu and Wetzel in the Atatürk Industrial Zone at Çiğli/İzmir in 1998.

2001

After acquired entirely by the Bakioğlu Holding, the company has been the leading rotogravure rollers manufacturer of Turkey through large-scale investments completed in a short time.

2005

The company started to manufacture rotogravure printing cylinders for the industries producing safety labels used for alcoholic drinks and tobacco products as well as the flexible packaging industry thanks to its investment in the Hell K500 Engraving Machine.

2008

A special software application was developed and integrated into the production processes in order to ensure traceability in all production processes.

2009

Photopolymer blocks started to be manufactured with the HelioFlex laser technology, and computer-aided flexo plate blocks started to be supplied at much higher resolution and high quality.

2012

Manufacturing capacity was increased by the AutoCon line investment.

2013

Investment in a new treatment plant which is monitored via a PLC-controlled SCADA automation system and which is a first in its area was put into use within the framework of compliance with laws and corporate social responsibility.

With its laser line investment, it started offering a wide range of products to its customers with two different production technologies as "Chemical Etching" and "3D Direct Laser"

2015

Qualified for ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification.

2016

Qualified for OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certificate.

Increased production capacity with additional machine investment for automatic line.

ESKO AUTOMATION ENGINE software has been invested in the digitization of many phases of pre-press workflow.

2017

It changed its title from Enternasyonel Gravür AŞ to Bak Gravür Teknolojisi San. Tic. AŞ upon the need integrate these titles under the roof of a single logo family.

2018

In order to keep customer satisfaction at the highest level in Bak Gravure, the Custumor Relationship Management (CRM) team has started to be managed professionally as a separate department.

In order to make the organization sustainable, to update to corporate information management infrastructure, to integrate with the international level the transition to the SAP system has been realized.

2019

"Bak Gravür Customer Portal", which we have developed within the framework of our innovative and customer-oriented approach, has become available and started to be used actively by our customers.

2021

Engraving processing capacity has been increased with the investment of a new cutting-edge 12K K500 G4 engraving machine in automatic line, which was commissioned in June 2021.

Bak Gravür, which moves on with the philosophy of change and continuous development, as well as an innovative perspective, investing in the latest technology as always by following the market developments shaped by customer demands, commissioned its plate production facility for Flexo Printing in July 2021, using KODAK NX's 'Digicap' and ESKO's 'Crystal' components, developed with the latest technology in order to provide product diversity and superior quality.

Advancing in line with its sustainability goals, Bak Gravür has taken a step for the membership of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC).

The I-REC zero-carbon green electricity certificate was received, proving that the energy used in production is generated from 100% renewable sources.

2022

An investment for a new machine park is started to increase the production capacity and modernize the old machines.

Based on the sustainability-oriented approach and environment-oriented production policies, the Zero Waste Certificate was awarded.

The "Corporate Carbon Footprint Calculation Project", initiated on a voluntary basis with a focus on responsibility for combating climate change, was successfully completed and the "Carbon Footprint calculation ISO 14064-1: 2018 certificate" was awarded.

The I-REC certificates, first obtained in 2021, were maintained, and focusing on sustainability, all of the energy used in production was supplied from renewable sources.

2023

With the investment of 4 Copper Plating Machines with CUmax technology, 1 CFM, 1 Finishmaster, 1 Engraving Processing Machine, 1 Laser Finish Degreasing Machine, and 1 Chrome Plating Machine in addition to the existing machine parks, the production capacity increased to 5,000 cylinders per month and 60,000 cylinders per year.
